Bantry Bay is a Charlottesville-based spice merchant, dealing in the freshest herbs, spices, foods and flavorings. Their products can be found at fine food retailers in Charlottesville and online at their website, BantryBaySpice.com.
Bantry Bay needed a new logo to accompany their new website. The logo had to represent their various product offerings, the exotic nature of the spice trade and the Celtic heritage of Bantry Bay.
The heart of the logo is composed of a number of organic shapes forming a simple spiral. The shapes formed by positive/negative space suggest scents, aromas, swirling teas, plant leaves and other subtle symbols.
